Real-Time Fraud Monitoring
To provide an extra layer of protection, our Fraud Prevention Team continuously monitors your debit card for unusual activity.
-
Proactive Alerts: If we spot a suspicious transaction, we may contact you directly to verify it.
-
If We're Unable To Reach You: Our Fraud Prevention Team will leave a message asking you to call them back at (833) 735-1894 to verify your card activity.
-
Need to Contact Us? To discuss suspicious activity on your card, call our Fraud Prevention Team directly at (833) 735-1894 or call our Member Solutions Center at (508) 490-8000.
NOTICE: SMCU will NEVER ask for personal details like your full Social Security number, PIN, or account numbers via text, email, or the internet. If you receive a suspicious request, contact us immediately at (508) 490-8000. If you would like more information about how we keep your information private and secure, please review our Privacy Policy.
Traveling & Out-of-State Security
To protect you in high-risk areas, we may restrict certain out-of-state transactions to PIN-based approvals only.
-
What this means: You can still use your card for PIN transactions, but signature-based purchases may be declined. This prevents fraudsters from using a stolen card number without your secret PIN.
-
Planning a trip? Whether you are traveling domestically or internationally, please call our Member Solutions Center at (508) 490-8000 first. We’ll review your plans to ensure your card works seamlessly at your destination.
