What You Need to Know


Below are any important updates and steps to take now that our technology upgrade is complete:

Users Impacted What You Need to Know
UPDATE Mobile Banking Users Our new Mobile Banking app is now available to download in iTunes and Google Play. Remember to delete the old Mobile Banking app from your device.
REMINDER Quicken and Quickbooks Users To continue using Quicken following our upgrade, you will need to complete an account deactivation and reactivation process.  Links to documents detailing how to complete this process are available below in the “Your Guide To What’s Ahead” section or by calling Member Service at 866-585-7628 or 508-229-3850.
If you currently transfer funds to accounts at other financial institutions through SMCU’s Bill Pay service. After the system upgrade, you will initiate transfers to and from your accounts at other financial institutions using the new Bank to Bank transfer in Online Banking.  Simply click the Transfers tab and choose from a drop-down menu the “from” and “to” accounts and you’re done.  It is easier, faster and more convenient. 
Online Banking Users After the system upgrade, recurring and scheduled Online Banking transfers will post to your account at 8AM on the business day they are scheduled for. If this scheduled date falls on a weekend or holiday, the transfer will post on the following business day.
Checking & Savings Account Holders Currently, when you use a Non-SMCU/SUM/CO-OP ATM, we assess a $1.50 fee. Beginning October 10th, you will see this fee as one total combined amount of fees for ALL ATM withdrawals done at a Non-SMCU/SUM/CO-OP ATM during your account's statement cycle. For example, if you use an out of network ATM four times in a month, you will see one $6.00 fee on that month's statement.
Gateway & Relationship Checking Account Holders ATM fee reimbursements now post to your account as one total combined rebate amount at the end your account's statement cycle.
Online Banking Users After the system upgrade, you will initially have access to 13 months of past statements within Online Banking. In the 11 months following the system upgrade, this will build to 24 months of past statements. If you need access to past statements beyond 13 months, contact our Member Service Center or branch offices for assistance.

Because we want you to be prepared well in advance, we have outlined closing dates as well as the days and times we will have limited service.

Columbus Day Weekend

October 7, 8 and 9

Branch Offices All offices will be closed.
Member Service Center Our Member Service Center will be open with limited services on Saturday, October 7th from 8AM to 1PM. They can be reached at 866-585-7628 or 508-229-3850.
Account Balances, Online Banking, Mobile Banking and SMART Line Telephone Banking These services will be unavailable from Friday, October 6th at 5PM through Tuesday, October 10th at 8AM
ATM and Debit Cards St. Mary's Credit Union ATMs will not be in service during this system upgrade. You will be able to make surcharge free withdrawals at any SUM or CO-OP network ATM and purchases with your debit card.
